Spread the wealth or let another woman suffer!
The other day I was sitting on the Philadelphia subway- I know my life is glamorous!- and overheard a conversation. One woman expressed to the other woman that she needed to get her nails redone. The only problem- her welfare check did not come in yet! Yes, that’s right people, as soon as she gets her welfare money, she would then be able to pay for a nail job. Put plain and simple, so you liberals can understand, when your hard-earned tax money is “redistributed” you are essentially paying for this woman’s nails. I would have a little more sympathy if she at least saved the welfare money for an education or to feed her children but instead she has the audacity to take money that is not hers and spend it on luxuries that she cannot afford. This is exactly why European socialism does not work. There are no incentives for individuals to reach for higher goals. If you can get the same luxuries by doing nothing than what is the point of working hard or, for that matter, starting a business and creating jobs. Bottom line is this country was founded on the idea that hard work is what makes you successful. On March 12, 2009 on Fox News Glenn Beck interviewed Bill O’Reilly. O’Reilly said, “if the government ran by and like tossed cash into my yard in Levittown, my father would have just tossed it right back. It was a matter of pride. I don’t want their money. I’ll earn it.” Bill has it exactly right. The GOP must now encourage this idea. Have pride, work hard and stich to the principles this country was founded on.

Well, obviously because one stupid person uses her welfare check for a manicure we should immediately get rid of the “European” welfare system pervading our country. Gimme a break. Billo the Clown might not need any government assistance to get by, but my recently laid off roommate would gladly take his share until she finds somewhere that’s actually hiring.
Right. That’s exactly why I said I would have more sympathy if she was using the money for an education or basic necessities like food. Unfortuntely, however, it is not just one person. The majority of people on welfare use it at an unfair advantage or are single mothers that have had more children that they can handle. I see it all the time living in Philadelphia.
